We tracked data assets scattered across the enterprise and identified data products relevant to the business to build a unified data marketplace having established data governance practices. The data marketplace was enabled with a metadata layer on top of the client’s data lakehouse. The unified metadata layer improved integration, management, organization, and publishing of data assets in a centralized repository to empower multiple teams/business users to search and share seamlessly. The data lakehouse was built of internal, reporting, and third-party data flowing through a medallion architecture.
